Avid Unveils Evo Two Loudspeaker as New Flagship in Evo Series.

Avid Evo Two Loudspeaker

British analogue hi-fi manufacturer Avid has announced the launch of the Evo Two, a 3.5-way floorstanding loudspeaker that now leads the company’s three-model Evo range. The release coincides with Avid’s 30th anniversary year and follows the introduction of the Relveo turntable in July.

According to Avid, the Evo Two is an evolution of its existing Evo Three model, engineered to deliver “enhanced bass response, a broader dynamic range, and a more expansive soundstage.” The loudspeaker will debut internationally at the Taiwan International TAA Hi-End Audio Show 2025, taking place 7–10 August, and is scheduled to reach authorised dealers in September 2025.

The new design draws on Avid’s three decades of British manufacturing experience. The company states that it has refined the Evo Three’s foundation with a revised cabinet and driver arrangement aimed at improving low-frequency performance and soundstage depth. Avid claims the result is a versatile speaker capable of handling a wide variety of musical genres, with particular strengths in reproducing “powerful dynamics and convincing realism,” especially in electronic and orchestral material.

The Evo Two features a 28 mm Acuflex hand-coated soft dome tweeter, dual 160 mm midrange drivers with 75 mm titanium voice coil formers, and a 250 mm low-frequency driver. The drive units are mounted to a rigid brushed anodised aluminium baffle and rear plate, both precision-machined in-house. Customers will be able to choose between black or gloss white cabinet finishes.

Avid’s founder and managing director, Conrad Mas, said: “The Evo Two was developed in response to customer feedback requesting a speaker with great presence and low-end articulation, whilst maintaining the clarity and openness characteristic of the Evo series. It is particularly suitable for larger rooms and properties where wall construction may be less rigid, a common scenario in many North American homes.”
