Final Two Beolab 90 Atelier Editions

Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Editions: Limited Anniversary Series from Bang & Olufsen Celebrates Craftsmanship.

Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Editions

Bang & Olufsen has unveiled the final two editions of its five-part Beolab 90 Atelier anniversary series: the Beolab 90 Monarch Edition and the Beolab 90 Zenith Edition. Following the previously released Titan, Shadow, and Mirage Editions, these new versions reinterpret the iconic flagship speaker with sculpted wood, polished aluminum, and carefully curated details. Both editions offer a fresh take on the Beolab 90 aesthetic through structured surfaces, tactile quality, and architectural design.

Beolab 90 Monarch Edition: Rosewood Meets Aluminum

Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Editions

The Monarch Edition combines rosewood and aluminum to create a sculptural object with flowing lines and dynamic structures. Angled wooden lamellas follow the contours of the aluminum housing, producing a rhythmic 360-degree appearance. Six wooden elements connect the lamellas, with a subtle translucent wood strip on the front adding extra dimension. The top ring of solid rosewood frames the speaker, while lower base panels continue the lamella pattern, creating a seamless visual flow. Semi-transparent textile covers reveal the drivers behind them, linking functionality with design. According to the manufacturer, the Monarch Edition celebrates Danish craftsmanship, giving the Beolab 90 a dynamic presence that excels both visually and acoustically.

Beolab 90 Zenith Edition: Aluminum Beads and Mother-of-Pearl Inlays

The Zenith Edition embodies sculptural precision and visual elegance. Each of the six panels features 289 anodized aluminum spheres arranged in seven pearl-inspired colors, interacting with light and the surrounding environment. The front cover is bead-blasted, dark gray anodized, and reminiscent of an oyster shell. The speaker is topped with a circular mother-of-pearl inlay that matches the diameter of the aluminum spheres. Curved panels follow the contours of the housing, while polished aluminum crowns and semi-transparent textile covers create a balanced interplay of visual and acoustic elements. According to the manufacturer, the result is a dynamic visual presence that complements the Beolab 90’s acoustic performance, turning the speaker into a multi-sensory experience.

Limited Edition and Exclusive Presentation

Both editions complete the five-part anniversary series, celebrating 100 years of Bang & Olufsen craftsmanship. Each Beolab 90 features 18 custom drivers and advanced beamforming technology. The Monarch and Zenith Editions are limited to ten pairs each and include a certificate of authenticity and a miniature aluminum sculpture of the speaker in a custom box. Along with the Shadow, Mirage, and Titan Editions, they form a tribute to the company’s acoustic heritage.

The unveiling takes place at the Bang & Olufsen Culture Store in San Francisco, the brand’s largest showroom worldwide. There, visitors can experience the new editions firsthand and explore the combination of design, craftsmanship, and sound quality up close.
