Stack Audio introduces the Auva SW, an isolator designed specifically for subwoofers to more effectively control low-frequency energy and eliminate unwanted vibrations. The goal is to improve bass precision, system clarity, and soundstage stability—areas where subwoofers typically pose challenges due to their high levels and low-end energy.

A key problem in subwoofer operation is the transmission of vibrations to floors, furniture, and adjacent components. According to Stack Audio, this displacement can mask fine details and impair coherence in the midrange. The Auva SW is designed to stop these vibrations at the source, enabling harmonious reproduction with clearer contours. The manufacturer emphasizes that a cleanly integrated subwoofer not only brings more depth, but also better definition to the entire sonic presentation.

Inside each isolator, a so-called Auva particle impact damping chamber operates in an aluminum pod. In it, a defined particle mass distributes the kinetic energy introduced and converts it into heat. This operating principle is based on the technology of the well-known Auva EQ isolators, but has been specifically adapted for the pronounced low-frequency vibrations of subwoofers.

Custom Silicone Absorber

Directly connected to the pod is a Custom Silicone Absorber (CSA), whose compliance is matched to the respective subwoofer weight. The insert comprises eight prongs, which, according to Stack Audio, have been optimized for the energy profile of subwoofers. A total of six weight levels between 1 and 56 kilograms are available, so that both compact models and large-volume behemoths can be decoupled appropriately.

The manufacturer places particular emphasis on precisely controlled movement: the solid aluminum housing guides the CSA element so that it only moves in the intended axis. This design is intended to enable high isolation performance in the low bass range without compromising the stability of the subwoofer. Stack Audio emphasizes that the Auva SW deliberately pursues a different philosophy to the company’s rigid speaker isolators: subwoofers generate omnidirectional, long-wave energy, which is why tuned compliance is essential.

According to the manufacturer, the Auva SW was developed using finite element analysis and refined over 29 design steps. Listening tests complemented the technical optimization to achieve the most natural and controlled sound performance possible.

The system is also flexible when it comes to installation: the isolators can be placed directly under the subwoofer without the need for threads or additional modifications. Height-adjustable silicone/metal pads and adapters for subwoofers with screw-on feet are available as options. The Auva SW measures 50 millimeters in diameter, is 35.4 millimeters high, and weighs 120 grams per piece.
