More Convenience and Functionality via Smartphone and Tablet.
Lyngdorf Audio and Steinway Lyngdorf have completely redesigned their control apps for iOS and Android. The new My Lyngdorf and My Steinway Lyngdorf apps offer, according to the manufacturer, an even more intuitive way to operate their amplifiers and processors.
The apps are designed for users of current models such as the Lyngdorf TDAI-1120, TDAI-2210, TDAI-3400, or the multi-channel processors MP-40, MP-50, and MP-60, as well as owners of Steinway & Sons components like the P100, P200, P300, or the Head Unit. Both apps are now available for download in the major app stores.
Everything in One App
According to the manufacturer, the new apps provide a fully integrated solution for configuring and controlling all device settings. A separate browser-based setup is no longer required – all functions, from speaker configuration and voicing selection to screensaver settings, are built directly into the app.
The user interface has been completely modernized: “With a symbol-based screen and intuitive touch, tap, and swipe gestures, operating a Lyngdorf or Steinway & Sons system is now easier than ever,” the official announcement states. Instead of traditional dropdown menus, the app uses visual icons, enabling faster and more streamlined navigation.
Customizable Interface, Enhanced Accessibility
The developers placed special emphasis on customization. According to Lyngdorf, unused inputs can be removed, preferred connections renamed, and voicings adjusted to personal preferences. The app’s appearance is also highly customizable – with selectable light/dark modes, large text options, and Apple VoiceOver support, accessibility has been significantly improved.
Smart Web Radio Player with AI Support
Another highlight is the newly developed web radio player. It not only provides detailed information about songs, artists, cover artwork, and technical data such as bit depth and sampling rate, but also uses AI-based algorithms to suggest stations based on genre, region, or user preferences. This makes discovering new music sources more convenient and targeted.
