Rock out at Home

Audio Pro has announced the launch of two new wireless speakers, the Drumfire II W and the Drumfire D-2 W, expanding its W-generation product line.

Audio Pro Drumfire W

The models Audio Pro Drumfire II W and Drumfire D-2 W are positioned as updated versions of the original Drumfire series first introduced in 2018 and are intended to complete the company’s current range of W-generation speakers.

According to Audio Pro, the W-generation builds on earlier products with improved sound performance, an updated mobile app and refinements to industrial design. The Drumfire II W is the full-size model, while the Drumfire D-2 W functions as a smaller, standalone speaker or as the top unit in a two-part configuration with a subwoofer.

Nils Ankarcrona, CEO at Audio Pro, described the release as a milestone for the product lineup, stating: “The Drumfire II W launch is the last of our W-generation launches, and makes it possible for us to offer our entire range in this new improved W-generation; a generation offering improved sound, a new app and refined design”.

The company claims the Drumfire II W delivers high output with detailed sound reproduction, performing consistently at both high and low listening levels. Connectivity features include multiroom playback, Google Cast, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. Audio Pro says the speaker’s firmware works in conjunction with its updated app to provide Wi-Fi timing synchronization and access to multiple streaming services. Firmware updates are handled automatically over the air.

Rock’n’Roll Aesthetic

Design remains a key element of the Drumfire range. Audio Pro describes the Drumfire II W as having a “classic rock ‘n’ roll” aesthetic, featuring faux leather wrapping, hand-stitched detailing and solid aluminum accents. The speaker is available in soft white, grey and black.

The Drumfire II W also includes six preset buttons designed to allow quick access to playlists or radio stations without using the app. Users can group two speakers into a left-right stereo pair or synchronize multiple units throughout a home.

The Drumfire D-2 W shares many of the same connectivity and streaming features. Audio Pro claims it delivers “pure Hi-Fi acoustics with deep, controlled bass and crispy highs,” even when used on its own. When paired with a subwoofer as part of a complete Drumfire II W configuration, the system automatically adjusts crossover settings so the subwoofer handles lower frequencies.

Both speakers support streaming services including Amazon Music, Deezer, Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz, TuneIn and others, either directly or via Google Cast and AirPlay 2.
