Kanto Audio Tuk Grand

Range-Topping Bookshelf Speaker in Active and Passive Versions

Kanto Audio unveils Tuk Grand and refreshed speaker lineup at AXPONA 2026.

Kanto Audio has introduced a redesigned generation of its speaker lineup, headlined by the debut of the Tuk Grand, at AXPONA 2026. The launch also includes updated versions of the company’s Yu4, Yu6, and Tuk models, reflecting what the manufacturer describes as a step forward in both acoustic performance and industrial design.

First introduced in 2014, the Yu series established Kanto’s position in the entry-level hi-fi segment.

The Tuk, released in 2019, expanded the company’s reach further into higher-performance audio. With this latest update, Kanto is revisiting its core products while introducing a new flagship model intended to elevate the range.

The Tuk Grand is positioned as the most advanced speaker the company has produced to date. According to the manufacturer, the model has been engineered to deliver greater scale and presence compared to its predecessors. It features a larger cabinet with increased internal volume and refined driver integration, which Kanto says results in a more expansive soundstage and improved low-frequency performance.

The Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, a defining element of the Tuk series, has also been revised. The company states that the updated design maintains detail while achieving a more balanced sound signature across both new Tuk models.

In terms of design, the Tuk Grand introduces a more angular cabinet structure, moving away from the rounded forms seen in earlier models. The updated geometry is intended to provide a stronger visual presence while also contributing to acoustic performance.

The standard Tuk model has also been redesigned to align with this new direction. Its cabinet now features a more defined, square-corner profile, replacing the softer edges of the original version. According to Kanto, this change reduces edge diffraction and supports a cleaner, more focused soundstage.

Additional updates to the Tuk include increased cabinet volume and revised internal architecture. The manufacturer says these changes create a more stable acoustic environment for the drivers. Combined with adjustments to the tweeter and waveguide design, the updated model is intended to deliver smoother high-frequency response and improved consistency across a wider listening area.

Connectivity has also been updated across the redesigned lineup. The new Tuk includes Bluetooth 5.4 with AptX HD support, along with USB-C, dual RCA line-in options, and a TOSLINK optical input. These additions reflect a broader push toward compatibility with both modern digital sources and traditional analog setups.
