Reiki Audio Introduces SuperSwitch X and Pro X PSU with Updated Design and Engineering.
Reiki Audio has announced the launch of its new X Series consisting of the SuperSwitch X and accompanying Pro X power supply unit, marking a significant update to its existing SuperSwitch range first introduced in 2023.
The original SuperSwitch Pro and its PSU have undergone several incremental updates since release, including the addition of a grounding post, increased chassis thickness from 3mm to 5mm, and revised rear port spacing to better accommodate larger ethernet cables. According to the manufacturer, the new X Series represents a more substantial redesign rather than a continuation of these gradual improvements.
The SuperSwitch X features a chassis thickness increased to 10mm, double that of the previous iteration, which Reiki Audio says improves rigidity and shielding from radiated radio frequency interference. The company also states that the internal circuitry is encased in a non-conductive resin to reduce micro-vibrations.
The Pro X PSU incorporates similar structural changes, including a 10mm thick enclosure and a larger transformer described by the manufacturer as “25% larger Audio Grade.” Reiki Audio says the unit uses a custom low-impedance rectifier and regulator design intended to deliver “stable, clean, low ripple, low noise DC power.”
The design also includes physical isolation between the power supply and switch circuitry. According to the company, the Pro X features “one layer of copper and 20mm of aluminium isolating the Superswitch X circuitry from the PSU’s circuitry and transformer.”
Both units are equipped with aluminum and silicone feet for vibration control. Reiki Audio has also partnered with Stack Audio to offer an optional upgrade to threaded Auva EQ isolators.
Despite only minor increases in physical dimensions—approximately 10mm in width, height, and depth—the updated models are significantly heavier due to the thicker casing. The SuperSwitch X weighs between 1.80kg and 1.98kg depending on configuration, while the Pro X PSU ranges from 4.85kg to 5.11kg.
