With the M90, Mavis has created a highly convincing amplifier that brings together the best of two worlds. This hybrid design combines a tube-driven Class A preamplifier stage with a transformer-coupled output, whose signal is amplified by a MOSFET power stage delivering a robust 100/140 watts (8/4 Ω). In practice, this translates into silky, transparent tube character paired with maximum flexibility when matching the amplifier with other components. Swapping the preamp tubes noticeably alters the sonic character and, thanks to the removable front panel, can be done with exceptional ease.
