Whereas most manufacturers use off-the-shelf (albeit high-quality) components, the Danes rely almost entirely on in-house developments – and not just on a surface level: Since, for example, cobbling together the damping feet of the Z5 using a fretsaw and sandpaper would hardly yield the required precicion, the manufacturer developed a machine park that makes it possible to manufacture the components without compromise.
The same applies to the unique drivers, which apart from the drive are designed without magnetic materials and – like all metal parts – are subjected to a cold treatment at -196 degrees for several days.
The process is intended to destress the materials and improve their resonance properties.
